This shoe has become my "quiver of one" in my collection of shoes. Comfy enough to wear for longer sessions, and does everything well, while not exceeding at any one thing. I have more aggressive models when I need them, but this has become my longer session, mileage shoe.
SO SO SO GOOD, I set in them, they are perfect mix of comfort and performance. And I get to call them the rubies, which makes me feel cool
Comfy shoes that fit well! These are my go to multi pitch shoes when I am going to be hanging on a wall all day. Medium stiffness for support. I sized them exactly like my street shoe size.
The shoes were slightly tighter than any other 9 1/2 I’ve owned. If I’d had known they ran small I’d have gotten a size up. On top of that when I don’t wear socks it creates a wind noise whenever I walk because the space around my ankle is wider than my ankle.
within a three months of having these shoes and NOT climbing consistently, the entire black rubber sole of the shoe has detached in several places on BOTH SHOES. In the same spots. i climb maybe once or twice a month, this is unacceptable for my shoes to just be falling apart when i take them out of my gym bag. I’m disappointed, i spent good money on these shoes.
I upgraded to these from the Butora Komet (narrow, 8.5W), which were the first climbing shoe I bought. I wanted a more aggressive shoe, but I also need something on the more comfortable side. I’ve climbed in these 3 times and I already love them. They’re definitely much more snug than the Komet’s and took a session to get used to, but the precision is great and they are very comfortable. Would highly recommend them as a transition shoe!
