Ibex

Too small. Probably our ordering error but also unable to return after wearing once.

Really happy with the Ibex! Quite comfortable for a shoe as aggressively shaped as it is. The heel is really nice fit; hard to get off at this point four sessions in. The Wide fit colorway is fantastic. A little stretch so far but nothing super surprising thus far. Sizing seem a half to 3/4 tighter than Gomi in the same size.

Fantastic shoe! Snug, but very comfortable, stretching out sufficiently during the session to allow for extended wearing. The rubber feels super sticky, making it easy to maintain tension on overhangs, even on negative features and volumes. The heel cup feels super natural, like an extension of my foot. I haven't gotten to try these shoes outdoors yet, but thus far, I'm a huge fan!

Best shoe I've climbed in to date and best performance model in the Butora line up. I wear many Butora models which all fit my foot quite well. The Ibex feels like I get the same comfort as the Gomi (no hotspots/pinching, strangely comfortable for long periods of wear), but it gives you the more aggressive/performance toe box from the Acro. The heel fits me way better than the Acro, and is a bit softer (not too soft) compared to the Gomi so it excels on incredibly small hold/crimp heel hooks. The Fuse2 rubber seems to be even stickier than Fuse on the Gomi, which I didn't think was possible! I wear street shoe 9 and went with a 9 in the Ibex, works great for me! I could possibly downsize, but have not found any boulder or sport route yet that would warrant it. This one is definitely worth a go, if it fits your foot, this will likely be in your quiver for unforeseeable future!

I can see why these shoes are named after the Ibex. If you already wear Gomis, I'd recommend getting the same size. The inside feels like a sock, and the rubber around the toe gave me confidence on overhanging climbs. I usually avoid slab because I'm worried about my feet slipping, but these made me feel much more secure. I even tested the rubber on Dual-Tex holds while leading, and it held well.

Would recommend to anyone looking for upgrade from the Gomis!

This is my favorite shoe I have ever worn. Sizing, I usually wear a 9.5 street shoe and I only sized down to a 9. I would either fit it to your street shoe or down .5 size if you really want to get aggressive and have a break in period. Super stoked on this one!

These are fantastic shoes and the easiest progression from the Gomi. I found I was the same size in the Ibex as in the Gomi. The upgraded rubber is unparalleled to anything else I've tried; you get great grip on all types of holds, including the dreaded dual-tex. They're soft enough to feel the hold underneath your toes, but stiff enough to get small edges. Great performance shoe. Very excited for the upgrade!

The Ibex is ready to throw down. Incredibly soft, excellent friction, it's locked in. However you deploy it, it's ready to hold on.

Roman/Egyptian foot shape + regular/wide. Size 9.

This is a phenomenal shoe with high sensitivity. A downturned soft shoe with great smearing capability is fantastic for almost all wall angles. The heels are snug and well constructed. I often struggle finding heels that work (unparallel, sportiva, scarpa all have an air gap) but these fit perfectly.

It sizes slightly smaller to the Gomi and complements it perfectly well. I wear size 9 in Gomi and 9 in Ibex, and the Ibex is a perfect fit and the Gomi is a little loose, but I can wear a pair of climbing socks with it.

I've been looking for about 4 years for the perfect quiver of shoes and this finally completed it - Gomi, OCUN Bullit, Ibex. Well done Butora!
