To The Bat Cave

The Bat Cave in the town of Truth or Consequences is New Mexico native Ben Hanna’s playground. Having projected some of the routes in the past, Ben sent Helsinki (5.14d), New Mexico’s hardest climb.

This video by Ben Shumlin and Logan Bonwell documents Ben’s impressive and successful crag journey that tested his nerves and skills. Claire Bukowski joined them for her second time to the cave to work on some projects of her own.

Logan and Ben have teamed up to work on a project about New Mexico climbing areas. This is the first installment of the collaboration’s undertaking to promote climbing in the state.
